Highlights
At Birdsboro, the Eagles (2-4 Berks I, 2-7) lost a five-run lead, then posted a seven-run fifth to regain control and beat the Blazers (3-4 Berks II, 5-6).
Down 6-1, Boone strung together all of its five hits and scored six times to take the lead in the bottom of the fourth. RBI singles from Tyler Herz and Dan Sekulski highlighted the inning.
But Exeter answered immediately. Jordan Gottshall's three-run home run and Eric Pepper's RBI double keyed a seven-run, seven-hit fifth that gave the Eagles a six-run cushion.
Pepper finished with two doubles and scored three runs, Gavin Hossler went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Dylan Mazzo had a pair of hits and scored twice for Exeter.
