Highlights
At Wyomissing, Steve Bonino fired a three-hitter with no walks and went 2-for-3 with a triple as the Spartans (4-3 Berks IV, 5-3) defeated the Hawks (3-5 Berks III, 5-7).
Tom Mahony's two-run single put Wyomissing up to stay at 3-1 in the fifth, then Mahony doubled in a run and Kurt Schmehl had a two-run triple in a six-run sixth that sealed it.
Mahony finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs, Blaine Feinauer was 3-for-3 with two runs and Schmehl drove in two runs and scored two.
Hamburg had tied it at 1-1 on Mike Specht's RBI single in the fifth.
