Thursday at Manheim, Kyle Miller went 3-for-4 with a home run, double and two RBIs to lead the eighth-seeded Muhls (14-8) to the upset over the top-seeded Barons (21-2) in a District 3 Class 5A quarterfinal. Luis Beato went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Muhlenberg, which clinched its first PIAA Tournament berth since 2008. Sam Martinez and Gio Cavanna each singled twice, scored twice and knocked in two runs.
