Schuylkill Valley at Tulpehocken

At New Schaefferstown, Ryan Zawaski was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, Ryan Brennan was 2-for-4 with two runs and Brandon Shurr scored two runs to help the Panthers (1-0, 2-1) beat the Trojans (0-1, 0-1). Tulpehocken took a 2-0 lead in the first on Phil Anderson's two-run double, but the Panthers tied it in the second when Brandon Shurr singled in a run and Matt Young delivered a fielders' choice RBI. Schuylkill Valley went up to stay at 3-2 in the fifth on Matt Rehrig's fielders choice grounder, then broke it open in a four-run sixth capped by Zawaski's three-run triple. Dave Koch was 3-for-4 with a run and Anderson was 2-for-2 with two RBIs for the Trojans.
