Highlights
At Bear Stadium, Shayne Houck threw a three-hitter, struck out six and also went 2-for-2 with a homer and two RBIs as the Bears (5-0, 5-0) defeated the Rams (2-3) in a rematch of last year's league final.
Houck, a senior right-hander, had a no-hitter until Dennis Custer's two-out single in the sixth.
Cody Kulp went 2-for-3 with a homer, two runs and two RBIs for the first-place Bears.
