Wilson at Red Land

At Northern, Red Land starter K.C. Beshore limited Wilson (11-9) to two hits, but the Bulldogs failed to take advantage of Beshore's seven walks and hit batsman in the Class AAAA first round shutout loss. Red Land (16-4) got three of its five hits off Wilson starter Isaac Wenrich (3-2) in its two-run second and held on for the win. Kyle Otstot led off with a single, advanced to second on a passed ball and scored on Adam Hegedof's single to right. Hegedof scored on a wind-aided double to right -center by Carl Sheaffer. Wenrich allowed five hits, two walks and two earned runs and struck out three. "We had out chances," Wilson coach Mike Smith said. "That's for darn sure."
