Tuesday at Birdsboro, Giovanni Cavanna hit a tiebreaking, two-run single in the top of the ninth to help the Muhls (1-0 Berks II, 3-0) beat the Blazers (0-1 Berks I, 2-4). Brad Coley gave up no hits in five innings for Muhlenberg, allowing three runs, one earned. He walked six and struck out seven. Winning pitcher Derek Wilson allowed one hit and a run in three innings. Drew Fidler pitched a scoreless inning for the save. Luis Beato went 4-for-5 for Muhlenberg. Dylan Gass had an RBI single for Boone.
