Highlights
At York’s Memorial Park Rhoda Martsteller struck out 14 to lead the second-seeded Rams (16-2) over the 15th-seeded Blazers (13-9) in the first round of the District 3-AAA Tournament.
Kennard-Dale scored its lone run in the bottom of the first inning. Leadoff hitter Laura Devoe drew a walk, then scored the winning run after three past balls allowed her to advance home from first base.
Boone’s Casey Hafer was the hard-luck losing pitcher despite allowing three hits and striking out two.
