Highlights
At Wenger Field in Fredericksburg, the No. 3 Mountaineers scored the game-winning run on a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday to beat the No. 6 Muhls in a District 3-AAAA quarterfinal.
After a fly out to right field and a pop-up to second, Nate Fassnacht reached on an error, stole second base then scored on a single to center by Dyllon Good.
Muhlenberg (16-7) tied it in the top half of the inning on a one-out infield single by Brandon Heere.
Jake Kuczawa went 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Muhls.
Ephrata (19-5) advances to face No. 7 Cumberland Valley in the semifinal round Tuesday.
