Red Lion at Wilson

At West Lawn, Kentucky commit Tyler Burchett allowed only one hit in six innings with three walks and 13 strikeouts to lead the No. 5 Lions (14-6) over the No. 4 Bulldogs (13-7) in the District 3 Class 6A quarterfinals. Wilson trailed by one run in the bottom of the sixth inning, loading the bases, but Burchett struck out Kris Perez to end the threat. Bulldogs starter Collin Foster also pitched a gem, giving up just one hit, walking six, and striking out 12 batters. Nick Sklenarik produced Wilson's lone hit of the game with a single.
