Highlights:At CD Middle School, Caroline Brown scored with 7:43 to play as the No. 2 Trojans (19-2-1) slipped past the No. 7 Mustangs (16-5) in a District 3-AAA quarterfinal thriller. Gov. Mifflin will play the loser of tonight's Cumberland Valley-Penn Manor quarterfinal in a losers-bracket game Tuesday. The Mustangs trailed 2-0 when Brown scored her first goal 21 minutes into the second half.
Mifflin answered 28 seconds later, however, on a Madison Clemens goal, then tied it with nine minutes to go on a Lauren Pietrowski score. But Hershey came up with the go-ahead goal less then two minutes later as a defender launched a shot from 50 yards out. The loose ball was punched out by Mustangs goalie Shawn Barczysnki, but Brown was there to fire home the rebound.
Mifflin is only the third team this season to score more than one goal against Hershey, which had given up just 11 in 21 games entering Saturday.
