Highlights:Springfield-Delco 14, Boyertown 13 (OT): At West Chester East, the underdog Bears (19-4-1) got four goals apiece from Sam Mazzie and Emily Austerberry and gave the District 1 champion Cougars all they could handle before falling in overtime in the opening round of the PIAA Girls Lacrosse Tournament.

Sarah Bennett scored three for Boyertown, the seventh and final seed from District 1. Freshman keeper Lindsey Clinton made 19 saves for the Bears.

Down 11-10, Boyertown scored three straight -- on goals by Raelynn Mikell, Austerberry and Mazzie -- to take a 13-11 lead with 6:46 remaining.

But Springfield scored twice, tying it at 13-all with 2:32 to go. A save by Clinton preserved the tie, but the Cougars scored early in overtime to advance to Saturday's state quarterfinal against Unionville.
