Highlights:Berks quarterfinals
At Fleetwood, Tyler Reinoehl put the Bulldogs up 1-0 13 minutes into the match and the Berks I champion Bulldogs (12-3-4) eased past the Berks III runners-up Bullets (11-7-1) in a Berks quarterfinal at Fleetwood.
Wilson will face Daniel Boone at 5 p.m. tonight at Gov. Mifflin in the first game of a county semifinals doubleheader. It is the Bulldogs’ 11th semifinal appearance in the last 12 years; the only break in that string came after Brandywine beat them in last year’s opening round.
Wilson exacted its revenge Tuesday night, when Andy Kidron pushed its lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute by putting a finishing touch on a Brian Wise through ball from midfield. Bradley Vanino’s goal midway through the second half gave the Bulldogs a commanding 3-0 lead.
Steve Sedler sent Kyle Stoudt’s tap of an indirect kick around a defensive Wilson wall for Brandywine’s lone goal with 58 seconds left.
The Bullets now await their seeding for the District 3-AA playoffs.
