Highlights:District 3-AA first round
At Leesport, Nate Miller headed home a big throw from Dave Horton 11:09 into the second half to break a scoreless tie, and Noah Horst finished an Andy Zaleski cross 5 1/2 minutes later as the third-seeded Panthers (18-2) shut out the No. 14 Bulldogs (12-8).
The win puts Schuylkill Valley in its first district quarterfinal. It will face defending AA state champion Susquehannock, the sixth seed, Saturday at Hempfield at 3 p.m.
