Highlights:At Birdsboro, Chris Salcedo scored 12 minutes into the game and keeper Stephen Polyniak made it stand up for the shutout as the Muhls (7-5, 11-7) beat the division champion Blazers (8-2-2, 11-3-3) to clinch the second playoff spot in Berks II. Boone, which hit the post four times, outshot the Muhls 12-4. Boone will open the playoffs Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Fleetwood against Berks III runner-up Schuylkill Valley. Muhlenberg faces Berks III winner Tulpehocken in the second game of a doubleheader at Boone. Berks I champ Exeter meets Berks IV runner-up Wyomissing at 5:30 p.m.
