Highlights:The season is over for Berks champion Gov. Mifflin.
No. 3 seed Dallastown defeated the 14th-seeded Mustangs 3-1 Thursday night in York in the first round of the District 3-AAA girls soccer tournament.
The Mustangs (16-5) pulled to within a goal with 3:28 when Lauren Pietrowski scored unassisted.
But the Wildcats (17-1-1) got a goal 19 seconds later from Rachel Small to put the game away.
Hannah Bressi scored the game's only goal in the first half to give Dallastown a 1-0 lead. The Wildcats made it 2-0 midway through the second half on a goal by Stephanie Le.
The tournament resumes Saturday with three Berks teams in the Class AA quarterfinals, highlighted by a doubleheader at Hamburg.
No. 11 Brandywine Heights will play No. 3 Lancaster Mennonite in the first game at 5:30 p.m. followed by No. 7 Wyomissing against No. 15 Elco at 7:30 p.m.
At 1 p.m. Saturday at Hershey High School, No. 9 Kutztown will play No. 1 Trinity.
