Highlights:Rebecca Blatt's three-run double highlighted a four-run fifth inning for the Berks II champion Hawks (13-7), who shut down the Bulldogs (5-11) in a Berks quarterfinal playoff at Muhlenberg Thursday.
Sydney Oberholtzer went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Paige Lesher, who threw six shutout innings before allowing a run in the seventh, had three strikeouts in a complete-game effort for Hamburg.
Shelby Rader went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Heather Baum had a double to lead Wilson.
Hamburg advances to play Brandywine Heights in the semifinal round Saturday at Lyons, tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m.
