Highlights:Trailing by three late in the first half, Wilson scored seven straight goals to take a commanding lead and defeat Souderton 8-5 Friday in the first round of the PSWPL state tournament at North Penn.
The Bulldogs (24-3) broke it open with a 5-0, third-quarter scoring advantage over the Indians, who scored their final goal with under a minute left in regulation.
Carter Young had two goals, two assists and drew five exclusions while Tristan Williams had one goal and a team-high seven steals for Wilson.
Matt Guenter and Tony Covell also scored twice for the Bulldogs, who play (Gov. Mifflin-Erie Cathedral Prep winner) Saturday morning at 11:45 in the semifinal round at North Penn.
North Penn takes on Cumberland Valley at 10:30 a.m. in the other semifinal, with the winners advancing to tonight's championship match.
