Highlights:Saturday, the Bulldogs came in focused and ready to go in the PSWPL state tournament. For their first game, they faced Erie Cathedral Prep in the semifinal.

Wilson began scored eight goals in the first half and never looked back after that as they defeated the Ramblers. The Bulldogs really played as a team with the scoring spread out across the team.

Quinn Lloyd led the team in scoring with six goals and an assist and Tony Covell led the team in assists with four in the game. Five others recorded goals for the Bulldogs as well including three by Tristan Williams and two goals by each Kegan Laman and Matt Guenter. Preston Hoopes was in goal and recorded ten saves.

The Bulldogs played North Penn in the state final later in the day. This was a rematch from two weeks ago in which the Bulldogs lost by a score of seven to five.

Wilson, as the second seed, went into this game and dominated from start to finish against the top seeded Knights. The difference in this game compared to the last time the two teams met was this was a complete team effort. Even though Tristan Williams recorded seven goals and one assist everybody on the team came together and worked as one.

Matt Guenter came into the game and showed this total team effort by dishing out four assists. Six others also recorded assists in this victory including three by Tony Covell.

Preston Hoopes also played a key role in this victory with 13 saves and six of those were recorded in the fourth quarter.

The big thing that helped this Bulldogs team was that they bought into the philosophy of defense first at the beginning of the season. This showed Saturday night when the Bulldogs held the Knights to only three goals in the first half and nine total.

After the tournament concluded, with the Bulldogs being crown champions, the All-State teams were announced. Matt Guenter and Carter Young were both named to the first team squad. Tristan Williams and Quinn Lloyd were named to the second team as well. Finally, Preston Hoopes was named honorable mention at the goalie position.
