Highlights:At Robesonia, junior midfielder Brett Sattazahn knocked in his own rebound just 47 seconds into overtime, clinching a Berks playoff berth for the Scouts (7-2-1, 11-5-1) in a thrilling battle of Berks II's leaders.
The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for the second-place Raiders (5-3-1, 9-4-1), who hadn't lost a league game since falling to Weiser at Twin Valley Sept. 11.
The Scouts did not clinch the division; Twin Valley could still win the crown by winning its final three league games while Weiser loses its last two. But Weiser did secure a county playoff spot for the 15th time in 16 years after missing last season's tournament for the first time since 1991.
"It feels so good to get in, because the guys this year are so hard-working and are such a good group," said Scouts coach Chris Arthur. "They really go out and work for each other and with each other. It's just nice to see that work rewarded."
Twin Valley struck first when All-Berks forward Erik Weber tallied his 14th league goal 15:30 into the match.
Tyler Witmer's penalty kick, after Weiser's Dino Kotsakis was tripped in the box, knotted the score at 1-all for the Scouts 4 1/2 minutes later.
The Raiders had the better of the play the rest of the way, hitting a post in the first half and outshooting Weiser 11-3. But Ross Chelius had 10 saves and the Scouts forced OT.
Early in the extra period Sattazahn took a cross from Jon McDonald and headed it toward net. Cody Schaffer made the save, but Sattazahn cleaned up the rebound for the win.
