At Norristown, Emily Sayre scored two quick goals to push the Warriors (16-3-1) to an early lead in the District 1 quarterfinals against the Colonials (16-4). Methacton never relinquished control of the game, finishing the first half with a 4-0 lead, and jumping out to a 7-0 lead before Plymouth-Whitemarsh scored a late goal to avert the shutout. Contributing to the win were Maddie Alderfer with a goal and two assists, and Jen Rees with a goal and an assist. No. 7 seed Methacton plays the winner of Downingtown East/Council Rock South tomorrow.
