Highlights:Pottsgrove came back from an early deficit for a 2-1 win over visiting Pope John Paul II in the opening round of the District 1-AA boys soccer playoffs.
The fourth-seeded Falcons (11-9) allowed an own goal in the 15th minute, but Mike Sereny tied it late in the first half and knocked in the game-winner midway through the second. Jimmy Gallo made 16 saves for the fifth-seeded Golden Panthers (7-10).
Pottsgrove advances to a semifinal Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Souderton against top-seeded Holy Ghost Prep.
