Highlights:At Shillington, Gov. Mifflin fell behind early and was unable to mount a comeback in a PSWPL play-in loss to Springfield Tuesday.
Paige Adams had two goals and Emilie Gerhard, Neena Gollub and Eva Tice scored one each for the Mustangs (15-4), who trailed 6-4 after three quarters.
Gov. Mifflin coach Bob Heist said the Mustangs had plenty of scoring opportunities throughout the match but were frequently unable to convert.
With the win, Springfield qualified for the state tournament, which begins Nov. 13 at North Penn.
