Highlights:At Robesonia, Tyler Witmer scored the first of his three goals on a volleyed, 18-yard blast 2:58 into the match, then scored twice after halftime to lift the Berks champion Scouts (16-6-1) past the Spartans (10-10-1) in a 3-AA preliminary.
Wyomissing tied it at 1-all 21 1/2 minutes into the game on David Folino's goal.
Then Witmer and Weiser awoke.
"We didn't come out and play the way we did in the Berks County playoffs," said Scouts coach Chris Arthur, whose team won its fifth straight. "It took a half for our guys to realize that we needed to play with the intensity that we've been playing with for the past week."
Witmer made it 2-1 14:02 after the break, then added some insurance seven minutes later by beating three defenders into the box from the left corner.
Twelfth-seeded Weiser travels to No. 5 Susquehannock for a first-round match Wednesday at 7 p.m.
