Oley Valley 1, Kennard-Dale 0: At Oley, Ryan Reich scored the game's lone goal with 9:20 left in the first half to lift the 15th-seeded Lynx (14-6) past the 18th-seeded Rams (9-7-1) in a 3-AA preliminary. Aaron Roland assisted on the goal, which pushed Oley Valley into a first-round match Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Manheim Central.
“We’re happy just to score,” said Lynx coach Shawn Meals, whose team has struggled offensively this season while allowing a county-low 11 goals. “We had chances, but we didn’t finish on some of them.”
Goalkeeper Nick Parenti got the shutout for Oley Valley. Johnny Mikolinis had seven saves for the Rams.
