Highlights:At Wyomissing, Jaxton Taylor scored off a throw-in from the right flank with 24:57 remaining for the go-ahead goal as the No. 3 Spartans (17-5) edged the No. 6 Raiders (13-5-1) in a District 2A quarterfinal matchup. Middletown rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie it on David Alcock's second goal 9:41 after the break. Taylor scored 5:22 later, and Wyomissing held off the Raiders' late surge. The Spartans advance to face the winner of tonight's Oley Valley-Lancaster Catholic game in Tuesday's semifinals. For more on this game, please read Don Stewart's recap in Sunday's Reading Eagle.
