Highlights:Ahead by one entering halftime, the No. 5 Lynx took control with three second-half goals and went on to beat the No. 6 Polar Bears in the District 3-AA third-place game at HersheyPark Stadium.
Emily Manwiller gave Oley Valley a 1-0 lead 2:39 into the game. After a scoring drought of 43-plus minutes, Mary Vankirk netted a goal with 14:09 left, Bailey McKeon scored three minutes later and Emily Lash added a late goal with 59 seconds left.
Northern had several scoring chances early in the second half but failed to capitalize. The Lynx held the Polar Bears to just one possession in their offensive zone during the final 15 minutes.
Oley Valley advances to face (loser of Villa Marie vs. Merion Mercy) Tuesday at Exeter at 6 p.m.
