Highlights:At Northeast High School, after 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, the Bulldogs prevailed 5-4 in penalty kicks as they beat the District 12 champion Cahillites (19-3-1) to advance to the PIAA Class 4A quarterfinals. Wilson (20-4-1) will face District 11 champion Freedom on Saturday. The Bulldogs hit all five of their penalty kicks, while keeper Ben Solsky's one stop in the PK round was enough to give Wilson the edge. Solsky, who connected on one of Wilson's five penalty kicks, also made three saves for the Bulldogs. For more on this game, please read Don Stewart's recap in Wednesday's Reading Eagle.
The match subsequently was forfeited by Wilson due to violating PIAA rules.
