Highlights:At Kutztown, the Cougars (6-6-1, 8-8-1) blanked the Mounts (1-10-1, 1-15-1), but it wasn't enough to clinch a Berks IV playoff berth. Kutztown needed a Holy Name tie or a loss to Wyomissing, but the Blue Jays prevailed 2-1 to get the playoff spot.
Both of the Cougars' goals came just before the break as Zach Alesi scored with four minutes to go in the first half, then Evan Steigerwalt connected just 17 seconds before halftime.
Despite not making the conference playoffs, Kutztown did clinch a District 3-AA spot with the win.
