Highlights:At West Lawn, Adam Willms headed in a corner from Brad Vanino 1:42 into the second half and the Bulldogs (4-3-2, 6-6-2) kept their Berks I playoff hopes alive with the key win over the second-place Mustangs (5-2-2, 10-2-2).
Mifflin controlled play for much of the game, outshooting Wilson 8-5 and manufacturing nine corner kicks. But the Mustangs couldn't finish against Bulldogs keeper Tim White, who had seven saves.
Mifflin can still clinch its first Berks playoff berth since 1982 by winning its final two league games. Wilson needs to win its final two league games and have Mifflin lose at Fleetwood Friday in order to qualify for counties.
For more details, see Jerry Reimenschneider's story in Thursday's editions of the Reading Eagle.
