Berks League champion Gov. Mifflin swept Hershey 3-0 in the first round of the District 3-AAA boys volleyball playoffs Thursday night at Garden Spot.
Andrew Wasmuth had 30 assists, three blocks and four digs for the sixth-seeded Mustangs (18-2), who beat the 11th-seeded Trojans (13-4) 27-25, 25-18, 25-22. Alex Cortellessa had 10 kills and three blocks, Jason Quigley had four blocks and Brian Beyer had nine kills and two blocks.
Mifflin will play third-seeded Cumberland Valley in the quarterfinals Monday, time and site to be announced.
