Brandywine lost 3-2 (25-19, 25-21, 21-25, 23-25, 15-12) to Spring Grove Friday a district 3-AA state qualifying match at Gettysburg.
The Bullets (17-5) rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win two consecutive games but lost the tie-breaker.
“They left it all out there on the court,” Brandywine coach Jessie Franko said. “They didn’t give up.”
Franko said she was also proud because the team performed well against tough draw Spring Grove, which is ranked third in the state.
For the Bullets, Ryan Kelly had 16 kills, 15 digs and three blocks; Mitch Kantner had 44 assists, 28 digs, five kills, and five blocks; Keenan Albright had 15 kills, seven digs and five blocks, Alex Weeast had 15 kills, nine digs and four blocks; Chad Gechter had 18 digs and four kills; and Casey Miller had 10 digs.
