At Birdsboro, Wilson 140-pounder Paul Nebroskie upset third-ranked Rafay Munir 6-3 to help the Bulldogs (3-0 Berks I, 3-2) to a big win against the Blazers (2-2 Berks II, 8-8). Wilson trailed 18-6 after five matches but got four straight pins to move ahead.
At heavyweight, Boone's third-ranked Tyler Swartz upset top-ranked George Rinehart 10-2. Matt McMillan (152) and Jamie Derr (189) registered two of Wilson's six pins, while 160-pounder Ricky Pena captured a tech. fall. Fourth-ranked 215-pounder Mark Carnevale scored a pin for Boone.
