Highlights:
At Boyertown, the Bears (1-0, 5-2) won six straight bouts to open a big lead and defeat the Indians (0-1, 4-3) on the mat for the first time since the 2001-02 season.
Included in the string of wins that broke a 9-9 tie and gave Boyertown a 34-9 lead was a 10-9 decision by Trevor MacMinn at 135 pounds, a 4-2 decision by Charles Jones at 140 and an 8-5 decision by Tim Feroe at 152 after he trailed 5-0.
Alex Pellicciotti broke the tie with a 49-second fall at 125. By the time Zach Heffner scored a major decision at 160, the Bears had an insurmountable 25-point lead with four bouts left.
Since joining the PAC-10 for the 2002-03 season, Boyertown was winless against Upper Perkiomen in five league matches and three District 1-AAA Tournament matches. However, Upper Perkiomen was forced to forfeit both of its wins over Boyertown last year due the use of an inelibible wrestler.
