At Downingtown, the fifth-seeded Bears were upset in the first round of the Class AAA championship bracket by the No. 12 Whippets during the District 1 Duals Tournament.
The Bears, who trailed 15-3 after four bouts, cut the deficit to two with four bouts to go but couldn't complete the comeback.
The loss eliminates Boyertown from the tournament and from contention in the AAA consolation bracket.
