IS THERE ANYWHERE TO GO? |
we just moved to wernersville and there are no parks there. Can you take a dog anywhere? please help!

Derik, you can take dogs to the Blue Marsh recreation area. Here's a link for you to check out http://www.nap.usace.army.mil/sb/bm_guide.htm
Pets must be leashed there and they're not allowed at the swimming beach or picnic areas below parking lot F.
There is a pretty impressive trail system there. Be warned the trails are opened to mountain bikers and horseback riders.
Nolde Forest has nice trails too where dogs are allowed, but it is a heavily tick-infested area. Be sure to do a tick check when you're leaving. Here's a link to the Nolde info. http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/parks/noldeforest.aspx. Of course, all the parks require you to clean up after your dog too. |

| I couldn't find any proof on the web, but I believe you may let your dogs run free on State Game Lands. This would apply to areas of Blue Marsh, Nolde Forest, etc. that are not developed. |
