Highlights
At Kutztown, Dalton Balthaser struck out 16 batters without a walk as the Cougars (1-3, 1-4) edged the Spartans (0-3, 0-5). Justin Shurr's RBI single scored Kyle Hartman with the only run in the sixth. Balthaser pitched out of a second-and-third, no-out jam in the second and also got out of the fifth with a runner on third. Shurr went 2-for-3 and Hartman was 2-for-2 for Kutztown.
