Highlights
At Birdsboro, Josh Piccarreta hit an RBI triple in his only at-bat to break a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth. Connor Cleave, who went 2-for-3 with a double and recorded the save, drove Piccarreta in with a single shortly after as the Blazers (1-1, 2-2) held off the Red Knights (0-2, 1-5). Winning pitcher Matt Henderson allowed two runs in six innings and struck out eight. Zavier Hernandez went 3-for-3 with a double to lead Reading High.
