Upper Dauphin at Oley Valley

At Fredericksburg, No.1 Oley Valley scored the lone run of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat No. 4 Upper Dauphin in a Class 3A semifinal. Reese Kauffman reached base on a single and scored on Jonas Hoch's RBI single to give the Lynx (14-6) the winning run. Hoch had earlier made a game-saving catch in the top of the seventh to take away a Trojans (15-4) extra base hit. Oley Valley qualified for states for the third year in a row after the win. They will play Lancaster Catholic for the District 3 Class 3A title Tuesday at 4 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium.
