Highlights
At Easton, the District 3 champion Saints (18-4) committed three errors in a five-run fourth inning, which helped the District 2 champion Cougars (14-3) win the PIAA Class 4A quarterfinal. Mason Black pitched a complete game, struck out 12 without a walk and had a two-run single. Dixon Black, his younger brother, was 2-for-3 and scored twice and Corey Pezak had two RBIs. For Berks Catholic, David Jones had an RBI double, German Vasquez Marte drove in the other run and Tre Dabney went 2-for-3. It was the final game for Saints coach Tom Frees, who announced last month that he was retiring.
