Highlights
Tuesday at East Pennsboro, Jimmy Nunez singled in Aidan Cirulli with the go-ahead run in the ninth inning, sending the fifth-seeded Spartans (15-8) to the upset over the top-seeded Panthers (16-2) in a District 3 Class 4A semifinal. Cirulli, who doubled to lead off the ninth, threw 4.1 innings of one-hit relief to get the win. Wyomissing scored two runs in the seventh to tie it, Tommy Grabowski and Harry Weiss coming home on Nunez's infield single and an East Pennsboro error.
