Panthers swept by top-seeded Northeastern
* YORK - Schuylkill Valley's first appearance in the district semifinals in boys volleyball couldn't have started much better.

The Panthers were sharp from the first serve while gradually taking a four-point lead on Northeastern and seemed on the verge of an opening victory.

But the top-seeded Bobcats, who have reached the District 3-AA semifinals and the state tournament 10 years running, calmly recovered to take the win and with it control of the match.

Northeastern ended the first game on an 11-3 run, including the final four points from a 21-21 tie, and then completed the victory with 25-8 and 25-13 wins to advance to Friday's championship match. [STORY]
