Highlights: At Alvernia College, the Cardinals (6-5 Berks IV, 8-12) held the Hawks (8-4 Berks III, 13-8) scoreless in the third quarter to take command.

Central pushed its lead to 15 at one point before the Hawks made a late rally, getting within eight.

Maria Wendt scored a game-high 13 points for Central; she also had 10 rebounds. Theresa Henneman had 10 for Central.

Central coach Jeff Cardinal credited sophomore forward Rebecca Reinhart with a standout defensive job on Lauren Romig, holding Hamburg's top scorer to just six points.
