Highlights:
At Wolf Gymnasium, sophomore point guard Jon Angstadt scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds as the Blue Jays (8-2) notched their eighth straight win and handed the Eagles (7-1) their first loss.
Holy Name, which also got 21 points from Jeremy Beckett and 19 points from Eric Angstadt, broke open a 46-46 game with a 15-0 run early in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles, behind Jason Carman and Dathan Marshall, put together a late 17-6 spurt to get within 67-63, but Jon Angstadt hit two clutch foul shots with 33 seconds left to seal it.
Carman scored a team-high 22 points and Marshall scored 19 points for High Point. Josh Conover scored 11 to move within seven of 1,000 for his career.
