Highlights: At Sellersville, Alex Varish gave the Eagles (6-1, 10-3) the lead for good with a late baseline jumper in a key win over the defending champion Lions (3-2, 7-4).

High Point led by 14 after one period before the Lions chipped away, tying it at 40-40 with 2:20 remaining on a basket by Allison Cade.

Freshman Abby Conover hit a pair of key free throws in the final minute to help seal it for the Eagles.

Varish scored a team-high 15 points.

Chelsea Bodder led the Eagles with 17.
