Highlights: At Geigertown, the Eagles (8-2, 12-5) just missed a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer in a narrow loss to the Lions.

Emily Mayer, who scored all of her game-high 17 points in the second half, including 11 in the fourth quarter, hit one of two foul shots to give Faith Christian a three-point lead with seven seconds remaining. High Point's chance to tie it rimmed in and out of the basket.

Camille Piccirillo and Alex Varish each finished with 11 points for the Eagles. High Point's Nicole Varish scored all of her nine points in the fourth quarter.
