Consolation game: Down by nine with five minutes left, the Blue Jays (0-2) made three straight 3-pointers to tie it 49-49 but the Panthers (1-1) retook the lead and held on to get the win at Carlisle.
Calvin Newell scored a game-high 34 points for Strath Haven while Jeremy Beckett led Holy Name with 25 points.
The Panthers went 10-for-17 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.
