Highlights: Holy Name was awarded a victory in its District 3-AA boys basketball opener Wednesday when Upper Dauphin was forced to forfeit the game.

Athletic director Brent Bell said that the Upper Dauphin school district canceled all after-school activities because of inclement weather in the Elizabethville area, north of Harrisburg.

Bell said that when he called District 3 basketball chairman Wendell Hower to inform him, Hower said the game would be forfeited. Bell said there was no discussion of moving the game to tonight.

Hower notified Holy Name shortly before 4 p.m., just as the team was about to board the bus for the game, to be played at Garden Spot.

The second-seeded Blue Jays (22-4) advance to meet No. 7 Hanover or No. 10 Annville-Cleona Saturday at a site and time to be determined.

The 15th-seeded Trojans finish their season 10-12.
