Highlights: At Birdsboro, Jeff Sowers scored a team-high 22 points as the Blazers (2-0, 4-3) built a big early lead and held off the Scouts (0-2, 1-7).

Boone led 23-14 at the half and by 12 points after three quarters before Weiser, led by Derek Long, trimmed the deficit to four. Long finished with game-high 25 points, including nine in the final quarter when the Scouts outscored the Blazers 23-16.

Sowers helped the Blazers hold their lead in the final quarter, hitting 5-of-6 free throws. He was good on 13-of-15 for the game.

The Scouts missed 9-of-15 free throws.
