Highlights: At Mahanoy City, Tom Scheeler scored 18 points to lead the Golden Bears (2-0) past the Trojans (3-1).

After a defensive struggle that saw Mahanoy Area up 16-12 at the half, Scheeler and Trevor Strenchock (11 points) hit back-to-back 3-pointers to open the second half and the Golden Bears held Tulphehocken to just three points in the quarter.

Mahanoy Area put it away with a 25-point fourth quarter, much of that coming from the foul line.

Brady Haughney led the Trojans with 16 points, while the Bears' help defense held Tulpy center Andrew Pawylk to just two points.
